Children & Youth

“Let the little children come to Me, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Children at St. Matthew’s

At St. Matthew’s, children are always welcome in worship—we delight in their wiggles, whispers, and joyful noises. They are full members of our church family, and we cherish their presence just as they are.

We’re a growing, joyful congregation with a vibrant community of children and youth. We believe our youngest members aren’t just the future of the church—they’re an essential part of who we are right now. That’s why we’re committed to nurturing their faith with love, creativity, and care.

Our amazing team of volunteer Sunday School teachers helps our kids grow in faith through wonder, play, storytelling, and shared experience. All volunteers are Safe Church trained and background-checked to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for every child.

Youth Grades 6–12 Welcome Here!

Youth play a vital role in our parish life, including taking on leadership the first Sunday of each month as part of our Youth Sundays, participating in parish events, and sharing their talents in music and theater at seasonal services.

Sunday mornings at 9:15 we offer a Youth Faith Formation class. This focuses on lessons of faith and scripture, as well as confirmation class material.

We gather after church on Sunday mornings, usually from 11 - 12:00, to build community, ask big questions, explore faith and life, and grow together. This is a space for curiosity, laughter, and real conversation—no question is off-limits. We engage in fun activities like cupcake decorating, art projects, visits to the corn maze, and more.

For details on meeting times and events, reach out to Rev. Amy—we’d love to have you join us!
