Vestry

The Vestry is a group of volunteers elected to serve the parish in the conduct of parochial business. The group's name is an old “church” word originating from where the group used to meet: the vestry, which is a room or building attached to the church used as an office and for changing into vestments. Today they serve as the governing board of a parish, responsible for administrative and fiscal management, care of the physical property, and facilitating the ministry of the members of the parish.
